Hi there! I’m Kelsey, the Owner and Lead Coordinator of Forever Enchanted Events. Thank you for your interest in working with our team! I’d love to tell you more about myself in hopes that you’ll feel confident that I am the right person to plan and coordinate your special day!
I started my career in event planning in an unusual way. I was a princess performer for children’s birthday parties and events (Cinderella and Elsa) for about seven years. During this time, I found that I really enjoy the variety of design, decor, entertainment options, desserts, and so on that events provide. I have been to over a thousand events and many were so over-the-top that they were like weddings! I learned the behind-the-scenes of event planning and methods to ensure everyone has a fantastic experience!
Previously, I was the event coordinator for a non-profit organization (501(c)(3) in Rancho Santa Fe, where I coordinated large events and fundraisers such as galas, luncheons, poker tournaments, etc. to fund enrichment programs and classes for children. It felt amazing to see my guests having a great time for an even better cause! However, I found that working alone in my office was simply not feeding my heart and soul in the way I was hoping. I am very social and love working with other people and personalities. I found myself yearning for more connection and conversation than I was receiving.
I was an assistant coordinator for a wedding and I can still remember my “aha! moment.” I was circulating around the reception venue, lighting candles, talking to guests, and checking in with the bridal party, when I realized… I felt good. Like, really good! I felt a rush of happiness and confidence that I hadn’t realized I had been missing! I felt fulfilled and gratified by the work I was doing and knew in my heart that I needed to make a change. I decided to take a huge leap! I quit my job, earned a Professional Certificate in Wedding and Event Planning from California State University San Marcos (where I earned my B.A. in Communications), and opened my own company, Forever Enchanted Events!
My team and I absolutely love the work we do and are thrilled to help bring your vision to life! Meeting with clients is the best part of my day and I feel a natural high after our meetings that keeps me smiling for hours. That’s how I know being a planner is my calling. I can physically feel my heart swelling from excitement and pride when I see my couples having a blast during their weddings. Your wedding becomes our wedding, and we will personally do everything in our power to make your day as beautiful and memorable as possible.
